LASERGRAPHICS WINS FIRST CINE-SIEMENS EXCELLENCE
IN TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION AWARD FOR FILM AND VIDEO

Irvine, California, April 14th, 2005 — Lasergraphics, Inc., the world's leading producer of ultra-high resolution digital film recording systems, is the winner of the first annual CINE-Siemens Excellence in Technology Innovation Award.  Sponsored by Siemens Business Services Media (formerly BBC Technology), the award honors the innovations Lasergraphics' Producer 3 Film Recording System has brought to the film and video production process.  The Producer 3 was the first digital film recording system to bring great image quality, fast recording speed, ease of use, and affordability to filmmakers.  It was the first to offer an integrated color management system, real-time color grading with no re-rendering required, and QuickTime-to-film and direct-to-print film recording capabilities.

Steve Klenk, Vice President for Marketing and Sales, was presented the award for Lasergraphics.  Klenk joined fellow award recipients film critic Roger Ebert (CINE Lifetime Achievement Award), USA Network-SCI FI Channel President Bonnie Hammer (CINE Leadership Award), and independent filmmakers Alan and Susan Raymond (CINE Trailblazers Award).  Presenters at the gala included Washington Post film critic Tom Shales and actor, producer, and director Edward James Olmos.  Masters of Ceremonies were Lisa Ling, host of National Geographic's Explorer, Robert Aubry Davis, noted cultural commentator and host of the award-winning WETA-TV series Around Town, and Bob Dotson, National Correspondent for the NBC News Today Show.

Lasergraphics' winning technology was selected by executives from CINE, Clear Channel Entertainment Television, Discovery Communications, Eastman Kodak, Henninger Media Services, National Geographic Television & Film, and Siemens Business Services Media.  Lasergraphics received its award at the 46th Annual CINE Golden Eagle Film and Video Awards Gala today at the Grosvenor Auditorium of the National Geographic Society in Washington, D.C.
